Die Geschichte sowohl der NAC als auch ihrer Splitterkirchen in Suedafrika ist ziemlich verwickelt und wird mitunter recht unterschiedlich berichtet.Zitat von "m": The Apostolic churches in S.A had so many splinters over the years, each group claiming they are the way and the truth to God our father.

I agree with morse2000 that the website should be named Kolb.com or NAC-USA-Apostles.com. The website is very dull and there is not much creativity there at all. The local congregations flavor has been eliminated and the cookie cutter approach to the website is very dull and boring. The best thing about the old website was the ability of the local congregations to put into their own words and pictures - the activities (divine services, picnics, sunday school, youth, seniors, easter, christmas, vacation bible school and yes even those local stories that capture the life of the congregation)... that is what is missing... so maybe Kolb.com or NAC-USA-Apostles.com would more reflect the website as it currently exists.... IMHO....

As for my view of the NAC worldwide, you are somewhat right in that it is my opinion of what I have seen and read about the current events of the NAC. How do you see the state of the NAC in Africa, in light of the ChAp's comments about trying to hold onto what we have. The Blankenese fiasco, the Drave report, claims of nepotism, etc,etc,... help explain the Europe view. As for the US, I know, first hand, at least a dozen ministers and many members throughout the country that have left in the recent past. Many more that I have heard about that I don't really know. I recently talked to a person that recently left, when he went to a new church in the area he said that he was shocked by the number of ex-nac/current "members" that he ran into. Your excitement and experiences, thankfulness, etc, etc... may be waxing but I don't think that you can really, honestly say the same for the NAC as a whole.

Der Begriff des "Geistlichen" statt des "Segenstraegers" ist hier noch nicht so verinnerlicht worden, oder?there are certain experiences which are cyrstallized within my memory of the nac experience. i recalled one as i read:
ahhh, the BoB concept. thank you, for not saying "minister", as is now in nac vogue. a "minister", is a servant or representative, beholden to service to the organization (and its members). but the BoB concept turns the tables, and makes the organization (and its members) beholden to the BoB. interesting, eh???For me, the NAC had no place in my future once I understood the concept of BoB's. This is/was the single most destructive concept within the "church".
the culmination of the BoB power was made clear, while i sat in divine services and it was stated that a (northeast usa) apostle declared, " I AM YOUR BIBLE!" the point was that individual human biblical efforts and prayer would be of no avail, lest it be via that which an apostle (and hence BoB) would proclaim!

...boy, it really snuck by this year, huh?

I wish to commend Bishop James Fendt for stepping beyond the exclusive bounds of the NAC Church doctrine (which he vowed to uphold when he was ordained ) and accept a position on the Board of Directors for a Catholic High School!
I also wish to congratulate NAKI for permitting the New Apostolic Bishop to participate in what can be considered an ecumenical activity with another denomination's educators whose mission statement includes teaching the Catholic faith. ( http://www.holycrosshs.or...ite/hosting/mission.html ) It is also incredible that our church leadership would condone the Bishop's activity given that the Catholic Church's support of their Supreme Pontif (the Pope) negates the authority of James Fendt's church's supreme authority -- the Chief Apostle.
Kudos also to Holy Cross High School for appointing to their board a Bishop from another church that does not recognize Catholics ( or any of their other non-NAC students) as being Children of God.
Truly, this IS ecumenicism in action!!!!!!!!!!
