I took the time and really listened to the recording of the meeting held in Pensacola. I for one, could hear how heartbroken and disappointed the members are over getting the shaft (without grease) from the ministers they seem to love. How sad. Deaconess advocated on their behalf, or this meeting would have never taken place. Unfortunately, I really think something bigger and much more sinister is driving this type of behavior. A church was sold, and while NONAC actually owns it, the members feel that they have some legitimate right to ownership as well. I know how they feel. I am now scared that the same thing will happen where I live.

A while ago I listened to a radio program. I can't remember all the details, but it should not be that hard to find out. There have been situations where congregations have sued the denomination, and in all cases in the past 40 years, the court sided with the congregation and gave them and the pastor/rector the property and local bank accounts despite the deeds and bylaws of the denomination. I can't remember the courts argument, but I think all that was needed was the pastor with a 60% agreeing congregation. I thought of this before I left as rector, but I had to admit to myself that I will not have a 60% membership siding with me against the church no matter how much they "liked" me. I think it would work, but not in the NAC, the congregations are just not that brave IMHO.

8. Outreach Programs are meant to promote our Church's name and image, not to provide funds for other charities or donate our precious time to other organizations no matter how beneficial they may be. Let us not lose our focus.

52. Sometimes our members start to "campaign" on a theme. Be careful when a subject is presented and ask yourself, do they have an agenda they wish to push? The Lord's work was established to prepare "the bride". We must not convert the Lord's work into a human institution."

immerhin sechs dutzend punkte, was man zu tun oder zu lassen hat. da hat sich das neue testament doch wesentlich kürzer gefasst (siehe punkt 53).72. An interesting analysis would be comparing over time the number of aposuls and bishops in the USA (and Canada maybe) vs. membership.
Why are six aposuls and seven bishops needed?
Is the fold twice or thrice as big when the list of apostles and bishops in the US was easy- 1 Fendt, 2 Vovaks, no bishops.
What justification is there for this expansion- more districts - so you need more district leaders?
Hey I know how big of a country this is, but no new territory has been added lately as I understand. I thought the overseas involvement was declining.
Hey Trike, how big is the hierarchy in CND?
I recall the days of Iron Mike, Wagner, Schwartzer, Horn, and Woll. Again no bishops.... why did the bishop (and the Shepherd) fall out of favor for so long in North America?
