176. How are men appointed to a certain ministry?

They are ordained into a specific ministry by the apostle through the laying-on of hands and prayer. This is done according to godly signs and in consultation with the responsible leaders.

I noted on NAKI's official site that there are 2,400 NAC ministers in North America. Based on the above, there must be 2,400 great stories out there regarding "godly signs" that were given during the selection process of each of those ministers. Wouldn't documentation and recording of those "experiences" help to strengthen the members' faith as well as justify the importance of following God's chosen?

Perhaps some of the minister leaders would care to share the specific sign that was given in their case?

Immerhin wurde das Gespräch mit Herrn Hebestreit schon Mitte 2007 geführt - was innerhalb der NAK aber nicht dazu geführt hat, dass auf die permanente Erwähnung der vorgeblich göttlichen Erwählung des Bodenpersonals inzwischen verzichtet würde.

Gelegentlich vermute ich daher, dass man dem Glaubensvolk das zumutet, was es ohne Murren zu schlucken bereit ist. Manchen Glaubensbrei kann ich mir anders nicht erklären. Kuriositäten in der NAK-Lehre scheinen mir häufig (auch) ein Testballon zu sein, wie weit man gehen kann...

Verwunderlich ist, dass man dieses Prinzip auch bei eigentlich harmlosen Themen verfolgt, bei denen es keine in der Glaubenslehre begründete "Notwendigkeit" gibt.

Deaconess irrt übrigens. Das Glaubensvolk soll (s)eine Glaubensstärkung nicht durch Beweise erfahren, sondern allein durch den Glauben an das Wort der gottgesandten lebenden Apostel der Neuzeit. Zitat: "Wir haben die Petrus-Gesinnung, nicht die Thomas-Gesinnung."

Wir sollten Deaconess ein Tübchen Augensalbe reichen und gemeinsam die Herzensknie beugen.

Die Augensalbe und das Beugen der Herzensknie haben anscheinend bewirkt, dass Deaconess inzwischen leicht desillusioniert ist:

(Angeblich wissen nordamerikanische Frisöre sofort was der Kunde wünscht, verlangt er einen "Kraus-Cut", der sich am von Michael Kraus gewünschten ausrasierten Hinterkopf orientiert.)

Dieser frisörtechnische Kniefall vor den Wünschen des Bezirkapostels und der damit verbundene Glaubensgehorsam sollen kein godly sign sein?

Vielleicht ist der Kunde auch von einer anderen Fraktion, er hat ja noch seinen Talar an? Ja, der Kraus crew cut ist in der NAC gut bekannt. Dass auch die Friseure dort ihn kennen, wusste ich noch nicht. Ich stand, da extra-territorial, nicht fuer ein Amt zur Verfuegung und konnte mir einen normalen Haarschnitt erlauben.

Irgendwo meine ich im NACboard gelesen zu haben, dass MK tatsaechlich einen zur Ordination angetretenen Bruder wieder in die Bank geschickt hat und hinterher den Bezirksaemtern heftig den Kopf gewaschen hat, weil sie ihn so vor ihm erscheinen liessen. Wer von Kraus' MDM (Mothers' Day Massacre) in L.A. gehoert hat, kann sich vorstellen, wie MK in diesem GD explodiert sein duerfte.

Anderswo wurde m.W. berichtet, dass die ATs bei Beginn des Gottesdienstes schnell eine Schwester abkommandiert haben, dem betreffenden Bruder noch vor der Ordination die Haare zu schneiden. Da haben die ATs scheints daraus gelernt. Dass aber die Schwester das Werkzeug erst zu Hause holen musste, war wohl nicht zu vermeiden. Was tut man nicht alles fuer den Herrn.

Ein junger Bruder wurde, weil er eine Frage bei der letzten Befragung der Konfirmanden nicht beantworten konnte, von der Konfirmation ausgeschlossen.

Ja, tergram, es haben dort schon teilweise sehr raue Sitten geherrscht. Das sollte man bedenken, bevor man die Geschwister und die heutigen ATs dort mit unseren Massstaeben betrachtet.

Why do NAC ministers do this? It undermines the credibility of the speaker. NACspeak is never explained, even when guests are present. Her post also reminded me of SOE's parodies which were quite funny, but also spot on.
Imagine if you were a guest visiting the NAC for the very first time and did not know any of the jargon or culture. You listen to an opening prayer that may be somewhat understandable from a Christian perspective - if you're lucky. Then the greeting of love from our beloved district apostle. (What was wrong with the "peace be unto you" from Christ, btw?) Next, the announcement and reading of the bible text word. "We have a textword this morning from our beloved Chief Apostle, which is found in..." Oh, I see, this Chief Apostle wrote the bible? Then a sermon filled with nac cliches strung together with several references to dead nac apostles. This type of sermon has the power to do what, exactly?

Merkwuerdig, dass die NAK-Terminologie oder "Neologismen", wie Michael Koch sie nennt, auch dort thematisiert werden.

Glossar: SOE's parodies sind Beitraege von "Apostle Inbetweener" in bestem NAC-speak. Es gab NACboard Leser, die diesen Schreiber fuer einen wirklichen Apostel gehalten haben.

Folllowing is a document that is to be distributed to all U.S. New Apostolic Church 6-9 year old children this Christmas, simultaneously with age-appropriate Bibles. Do you, as well as NAKI, agree with the content of the letter and its claims that refute commonly accepted theological understanding? Shouldn't scriptural references substantiating those deviations be included with those claims? In addition, if those claims are to be inserted in a Bible that is designed for a 6-9 year old, shouldn't that "document" be written in terms that can be understood by that age range?
The letter and insert:
In addition to our 2009 Sunday School Christmas Gifts, there have been some clarifications made by our Apostle Fendt regarding the Student Discovery Bible for our Primary students. "Deaconess" fuehlt sich an frueher erinnert: Like grandfather, like grandson
It's somehow fitting that Fendt generated this letter/document that is to be inserted in the new Bibles. Should it be placed before or after the letter re. Bischoff's prophesy that Fendt's grandfather sent instructing members to place it in their Bibles?

THE MESSAGE OF OUR BELOVED CHIEF APOSTLE

"The period of preparation for the kingly priesthood will culminate under my hand and jurisdiction. All godly activity in the vineyard of the Lord will be concluded with my end. I am the last Chief Apostle; there will be no other after me. So it is decreed in God's Plan of Salvation. As a visible sign that this is in accordance with God's will, the Lord will come in my time in order to take His own unto Himself."

Since our entire future, both on this earth and for eternity is dependent upon this message, it is suggested that a copy be left in each household and be placed in the family Bible. This, in order that it may be read from time to time and remain constantly before us. The English version is not a direct translation. It does contain the essence of what our beloved Chief Apostle would have every child of God know.

This is sent to you with the greetings of love from our beloved Chief Apostle, in which we join.
