Echt jetzt ...

Kraus?? Unreal...
Reading Kraus' letter to the congregation sent chills down my spine...it's been almost 3 years since I have been sealed into the NAC/Southern California in order to marry the beautiful german girl whom I love more now than ever. Being raised in a large Baptist Church I have known Christ, and thank God every day for sending His Son for this fallen world. And The Holy Spirit has been present in my life long before the Chief Apostle/Apostles put their hands on my forehead and "transmitted" The Holy Spirit into my soul. At first, I thought the NAC was just a little different than my Church, and every service for the departed and bit of exclusivity had a quirky place in Christianity...but the more questions I ask, the more confused I become. Every person on this board has heard it all before: living Apostles? The "Gap?" forgiveness of sins through an Apostle? Realms of the Departed? just to name a few...After googling the NAC and finding multiple sources/nacboard with the same concerns, it is starting to make sense. Is the NAC out of sync with The Holy Bible? It seems as if the past cultish circumstances and doctrine are still plaguing the NAC as a whole, but my little 35 member congregation thinks outside the NAC "box." Our D.E. is very well educated/talented/musically inclined and I get spiritually fed. It's sad seeing only 35 members and the congregation is stagnant/declining because we can't apply mainstream Christian doctrine(IMHO). I don't want to stay in the NAC, but I would want to stay in our congregation if we didn't have SFD, commissioned by Apostles only forgiveness, etc. But my wife has generations born in (her dad is a priest and fully believes in the NAC) He will defend the "faith" til his death, and trys to answer my questions with scripture that is A) taken out of context, or B) not relevant to the subject. When I bring up the topic of "trying out a new church or congregation" with my wife, we argue and she defends the NAC. It doesn't help that she teaches Sunday School and I'm in the choir. But it's all she's known... I love my wife, I love her/my family, I love our congregation. It's a small congregation and the people are wonderful. There is still Autocracy within the NAC plain as day with remnants from the past, like this letter provided by deaconess. By the way deaconess, you are my inspiration along with the rest of you reading this who have ever questioned and inquired on nacboard. Feels good to get this off my chest...
Sincerely,
Rymar
