Die Bedeutung des Namens "Herodes" habe ich nie vorher nachgeschaut 
Moeglicherweise gibt es mehr als diese eine: Herodes. Trotzdem ist "Calamity" nicht beeindruckt von den Erklaerungen, welche die NAK bisher so veroeffentlicht hat.

In Amerika behalten die Gemeinden einen Teil der Einnahmen ?!

Okay, über die Bedeutung des Namens Herodes hatte ich mir bis dato auch noch keine Gedanken gemacht . Aber jemand, der ein offizielles Statement darüber verfaßt, sollte sich doch vorher vielleicht informieren*grübel*?
Das mit dem keltischen Gott Samhain hat mich doch grade auch erst in tiefe Verzweiflung getriben. Beschäftige ich mich solange schon mit Mythologie und kenne diesen, offensichtlich wichtigen, Gott nicht?!? Bis dann ein wenig nachschlagen die Erleuchtung gebracht hat: auch hier wurde wieder falsch recherchiert oder bewußt falsche Behauptungen aufgestellt! Kann ja wohl nicht wahr sein...ich hätte da so ein, zwei gute Links zum recherchieren von Mythologie, die ich gern weiterreichen würde. Nur, falls demnächst weitere lustige Behauptungen in die Welt gesetzt werden, die nicht haltbar sind. Womit sich die Kirche einmal mehr unglaubwürdig bis lächerlich macht.
(witzig fand ich übrigens das statement, ob jemals schon mal einer der Toten sich beschwert hätte über diese Respektlosigkeit von Kindern, die in Kostümen rumlaufen

Die Formulierung auf der NAC Webseite gibt den Sachverhalt zutreffend wieder. Zusaetzlich hat im NACboard jemand genauer erklaert, was darunter zu verstehen ist.
Die Gemeinden duerfen selbstverstaendlich (?) NICHTS von den Opfereinnahmen einbehalten und selbst entscheiden, wofuer sie solches Geld verwenden. Sie haben aber ein "Gemeindekonto", von dem sie wiederkehrende und unvermeidbare Zahlungen wie z.B. fuer Strom, Wasser von bis zu mtl. 250$ bis 300$ bestreiten. Dafuer wird der entsprechende Betrag von den Spenden entnommen.
Sonstige Ausgaben muessen von der Verwaltung der NAC U.S.A. genehmigt werden.

Another key benefit experienced by NAC has been in the use of iMIS to report weekly offerings from each of its congregations online.
"iMIS has allowed all collections taken locally to be reported to the head office within 24-48 hours of an event," said NAC Systems Administrator Christy Eckhardt. "Prior to iMIS those reports took 6-8 weeks to process. Now, within 48 hours, we can see what kind of success each event experienced."
These donations are key to allowing NAC to operate and work towards fulfilling its mission, growing its membership, and supporting the NAC Foreign Extension which serves five million members in 75 countries.

Growth? Or the need to find out quicker than 6-8 weeks how much "success was experienced"...Growth was one of the key aspects that led NAC to choose iMIS. Brenda im Nacboard: So... now that this day has come and gone, how did your congregtion "handle" the International Day of Prayer? Were the words of the CA mentioned specifically in prayers? This year, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber has given the event a special accent: he is calling upon his brethren in faith to pray especially for all baptised Christians who are being persecuted or killed on account of their faith in the triune God and their profession of their Redeemer Jesus Christ.

BatP: The first twenty minutes of service revolved around this message, though the UN event was incorrectly referred to as the International Day of Prayer for Peace which is actually the World Church Council's version of the UN's International Day of Peace (which would include non-theists).
Deaconess: In our congregation the officiant only spoke about the International Day of Peace: it's history/purpose; the Chief Apostle's message; shared specific stories of courage and dangers faced by Christians in other countries; and called the congregation to participate... not just for that day, but to continually remember others and "peace" in their daily prayers . He then turned over the "service" to the asst. who held the originally planned Children's Service, which focused on the textword.
