I happened upon an old piece I wrote many years ago and probably never posted. The references to some of the posters are, of course, very dated, but much of this material still works. Deaconess linked this thread to me, and hey, why not? So, 8+ years later here are Shaquille's suggestions for additional seminars at an NAC convention:
“Questioning 101” (Deaconess)
Objective: to be the thorn in the back side of he-who-goes-before you.
This exciting seminar will teach you how to challenge the higher ups! Show your attention to detail by asking about changes in the church constitution that were made without taking a vote. Wow them with your knowledge about church finances and lack of accountability. Press for answers to those pesky questions like, what exactly is the doctrine of the NAC?
Seminar materials include a sheath of conflicting doctrinal statements, a letter of caution from the CA, and a list of email addresses of every national and district leader in North America, so you can hit the ground running!
(Graduates are eligible for the second course in the series, "The Power of Persistence" also taught by Deaconess).
“The Wonderful World of DA Kraus” (Ed Banger)
If you ever laughed your way through "the blue book" then this course is for you. Nearly every written statement from the DA has been assembled in one giant volume. “The Creative History of the NAC--Its all God's Fault” (KBB)
Ever wonder how the NAC got to the state its in? Well this seminar is for you. KBB takes you through the myth and lore of NAC history--you get to see what happened and how it was later explained away. From the Prophecy to today's congregational closings, experience "spin" in all its glory. Class ends with each participant allowed to re-write any portion of NAC history they choose.
“Where Does it Say THAT in the Bible?” (Phil413)
Ever feel uncomfortable when you are asked to support your faith? Get it all over with at once in this painful three hour session. Phil413 will have your head spinning with bible texts about “accepting Christ as your personal savior”, “finding Jesus” and all that Jesus freak stuff. Once you run out of supporting text for NAC theology you learn first hand how to shut out the madness of scriptural justification for your beliefs. Participants learn useful phrases like “its just a dead letter anyway” and “that is from man’s mind and intellect.” (No bibles will be allowed in this seminar—please leave them on your coffee tables at home.)
"Breaking Out--falling away and stay away" (Katherine)
This course takes you step-by-step through the process of disentanglement from the church. From membership status as inactive, to "fallen away," to the coveted "off the books", you will learn how to start all over again. Participants engage is mock exercises defending their decision to actually become Christians with actors playing friends and family. This is a don't miss seminar!
“Exclusivity--yes, no, maybe” (Peter Johnning)
When was the last time you had to answer a question and didn't want to tell the truth or lie? We have all been there my friend. Let Peter teach you how to answer a question without saying anything! Dodge direct questions and sound like you have a point just like the pros. Students end the day with the ability to defend any position without taking one!

Learn as much as you want while receiving no education at all. This exciting course will be quite dull. Materials will be provided, but there will be no handouts whatsoever. It is critical that all students personally appear, although attendance is optional.
The course will discuss virtually every aspect to the O’s statement, except that it will not discuss content, meaning, position taken or the words of the statement. No one should attend this seminar.
